About Virotea - where innovation meets care.

Virotea was founded in 2018 by Ivan Perlesi, with extensive experience in healthcare. The driving force behind the company emerged during conversations with Ivan's father, a specialist doctor in psychiatry.

Virotea's journey began with a vision to offer digital journeys using VR technology. By allowing care recipients to explore the world from their residence, we created a unique opportunity for community and experiences with ViroteaVR.

 

In 2022, we expanded our operations by focusing on education. Together with Karlstad Municipality, we aimed to improve interaction within the healthcare sector through innovation. The result was ViroteaED, an educational tool where staff are empowered to understand and adapt their approach by experiencing life with different cognitive impairments. Today, this tool is used by municipalities, private healthcare providers, and schools nationwide.
